Each year Table of Plenty awards scholarships to outstanding student volunteers who demonstrate over time a commitment to the mission of TOP and compassion and service to our guests. This year, TOP has awarded $1,000 scholarships to two high school volunteers — Ava and John — both graduating high school seniors. Both students took a break from serving at Thursday night’s dinner to receive their certificate and scholarship award, and their parents joined the dinner as honored guests.

At TOP, Ava and John both enthusiastically take on whatever tasks need doing and welcome our guests with open hearts and generous spirits. It has been a pleasure to watch these young people grow in confidence and appreciation for the special calling of volunteerism. 

Ava and John are both headed to college in the Fall, and we wish them the best of luck and happiness!
