The TABLE of PLENTY (TOP) is pleased to announce that Sister Jeanette Braun, SNDdeN, our director received the 2018 Rotary of Half Moon Bay “Service Above Self Award” at the MAGIC on the Coastside Fundraiser event.

In early May Sr. Jeanette was chosen as one of four remarkable finalists.  Last night, cheers filled the room as Sr. Jeanette was recognized for her leadership and devotion to our mission and organization as Director and President  For the last 6 years, Sister Jeanette Braun has led the way for TABLE of PLENTY to become a valuable, resource serving the community of Half Moon Bay. Under Sr. Jeanette’s leadership, Table of Plenty has served supper to struggling families, elders, and people without homes in our surrounding coastal community every Thursday evening for 52 weeks a year. Their objective is to honor the dignity of each person. In Sister Jeanette’s words, “Whether you cook the food, serve it, or greet our guests, our standard is high. We all strive to share the experience of loving one another at our suppers… “

 

The MAGIC on the Coastside event was produced by Elizabeth A.  Schuck, past President of the Rotary of Half Moon Bay.   Thank you to all who contributed to its success and for this wonderful honor!
